Christmas Festival of Lights at Shepherd of the Hills

Christmas Festival of Lights, all are welcome to join us at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church for our second annual Christmas tree lighting event.
The event will feature 25+ decorated trees donated by the members of the congregation on Saturday, December 6, 2025. The event will kick off with Lighting of the Trees at 5:00 PM. along with carol singing. A Live Nativity and a special visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus and their cheerful helpers. Children are invited to meet Santa, bring their letters, or write one on-site, then drop them into Santa’s mailbox so he can take them back to the North Pole. Mrs. Claus will be on hand to share holiday stories with young listeners. In addition to caroling, families can explore festive activity stations featuring crafts and games for children. Snacks and drinks of hot chocolate, cookies, breads and muffins will be provided.
This event is free to everyone who attends. Free-will donations are appreciated and will help support future events. We are taking donations of hat and gloves for the less fortunate which we will have a tree in our narthex for people to attach them to.
Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The congregation exists to welcome people to faith in Jesus Christ; to equip us with the tools to make that faith work in real life; and then send us in service into the world in Jesus’ name. Shepherd of the Hills is a vibrant church which exists to give glory to God in Jesus Christ.
We see ourselves as a center of Christian discipleship in the lives of individuals, families and this congregation. We primarily come from Sussex and Morris counties as the body of Christ.
