Come down to the woods for a festive and crafty afternoon of family fun: toast a marshmallow, go on a snowman hunt, decorate a biscuit, try your hand at reindeer hoopla and learn how to to make some beautiful natural Christmas crafts. There'll also be all our usual forest school fun with the rope swing, mud kitchen, music area and play equipment out to enjoy. Refreshments and materials included. Enjoy mulled wine and mince pies round the fire in a beautiful woodland environment They'll also be various homemade, natural items for sale from our wonderful stall holders (see below) so do bring extra cash if you'd like to complete your Christmas shopping.
There really is something for all ages - younger children can play on site, enjoy the swing & the mud kitchen and have a go at the Christmas crafts, older children (and adults) could have a go at wood-turning a bauble (£10 additional charge) and watch our resident blacksmith in action, adults can enjoy browsing all the craft stalls and a mulled wine/minced pie.
It's £8.50pp for a child ticket (or for an adult if they would like to make the Christmas crafts as well!). Under 3s free. We've just added a 'browsing ticket' for adults who'd like to come for a look round the stalls and enjoy a drink (mulled wine/cranberry juice) plus a mince piece. This doesn't include making any natural Christmas decorations but you could choose to pay extra for this on the day if you wished. The £8.50 ticket price includes refreshments plus 3 crafty activities (saw & decorate a log slice, make a ribbon Christmas tree and colour in a wooden Christmas tree decoration).
We've also got some wonderful local crafts-people running stalls with crafty activities and things for sale (there will be a small charge for some of the extra craft activities provided) - Julie from Pip Cottage (willow), Paul Holland (green woodwork), Nic from Saved and Made (recycled fabric), Jeannette Tonks (leather work) and Sophie (cakes & bakes) will all be running stalls on the days so bring your pennies. It's a great opportunity to shop local for your Christmas presents!
