About this Event

Gentle NYC Walks: A Safe Haven for Women Holding Complicated Grief

Self-love, tenderness, and body respect are the foundations of healing—at your pace.
This is an invitation to love your way back to yourself, your way and at your pace.

Grief Relief Walks are for women whose hearts have been broken in ways that don’t fit neatly into traditional grief spaces.

If you’re grieving estrangement, betrayal, complicated loss, or relationships that caused harm, you may have felt pressure to move on, explain yourself, or stay silent to avoid judgment.

Here, you don’t have to do any of that.

This is a safe, kind, and calm space to walk, breathe, and be exactly where you are.

We walk together through Ft. Tryon Park at a gentle pace, using movement, breath, and guided reflection to help your nervous system settle and your inner trust begin to return.

There is no fixing.
No forcing.
No expectation that your grief look a certain way.

Just presence, warmth, and support.

🌬 What This Walk Offers
  • Guided breathing and gentle movement to relax you.
  • Time in nature to reconnect with yourself after emotional upheaval
  • Support for grief that feels messy, hidden, or misunderstood
  • Simple grounding practices you can carry with you beyond the walk
  • A reminder that your grief makes sense—and so do you

🧭 During the walk, you’ll be gently guided to explore:
  • How stress and heartbreak live in the body
  • Why restoring trust in yourself is the true beginning of healing
  • How kindness toward yourself creates real resilience
  • Simple EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) practices to soothe the nervous system

💗 Led by Andrea Amador

Andrea Amador is a certified women’s empowerment coach and the author of Lovin’ the Skin You’re In and the creator of the Love Your Way To Wellness Program, formerly Losing Weight without Dieting. Through her own lived experience of loss, betrayal, estrangement, widowhood and complicated grief, she creates spaces where women feel safe to soften, speak, and reconnect with themselves—without judgment or pressure.

These walks are not about fitness or self-improvement.
They are about remembering who you are beneath the grief.

👣 What to Expect
  • Slow, accessible walking pace
  • Gentle guidance throughout (this is not a silent walk)
  • Layer up and dress warmly
  • Comfortable shoes recommended
  • Bring water and anything that helps you feel at ease

This is a protective, supportive space for women who want to heal without being told how they should feel.

One step at a time.
Together. 💛
