DETAILS can now be announced for the 2025 junior Christmas Cup at Chandlers Ford Snooker Club.
We will be running junior competitions on seven days over the school-holiday fortnight. The club will be shut on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
Daily cost is £10. Experienced players and complete beginners catered for. No dress code. No pre-registration. Non-members welcome. Full-sized and junior cues can be provided. Hours are 11am-3pm with free practice from 10.30am.
As well as a small daily prize, there are trophies for the overall winner, runner-up and third place.
Beginners work with WPBSA snooker coach Tim Dunkley until they are ready to play proper frames.
All activities are handicapped to produce a level playing field.
The club has excellent WiFi so parents who can work remotely are welcome to work in the bar area.

Wednesday: December 24: Snooker all day
Monday: December 29: Cuestars Academy and snooker
Tuesday: December 30: Cricket and snooker

Friday: January 2: Snooker all day
Of the 11 different Christmas Cup winners, one is now a professional and six others have played for England.
