The Holiday Season is the perfect time to be in touch with personal notes and cards.
This seminar will present ideas and tips to add that special touch to your seasonal card design.Your heartfelt greetings expressed with your personal art and handwriting will impress and delight.
Students are invited to bring any media: pen and Inks, brush tip or chisel tip markers, watercolor, color pencil, etc. Several sheets of tracing paper, appropriate card weight papers to work on.
Marlene Steele is a Founder of the Greater Cincinnati Calligraphers” Guild, a thriving creative lettering guild today. Her calligraphy design has been exhibited in regional guild exhibitions, including most recently “A Drop of Ink” GCCG Celebrating 40 years of Beautiful Writing, Thomas More University, Northern Kentucky, August -Sept 2023.
Marlene’s lettering skills enhanced product lines at Gibson Greetings for a decade with traditional calligraphy and contemporary innovation for all day to day and seasonal card lines, calendars and giftwrap products.
Marlene has commissioned work in the Cincinnati Literary Club, the Fine Art Book collection of the University of Cincinnati as well as corporate design and event documentations including the Munich/Cincinnati Sister City Document commemorating the historic meeting of the Mayors in Cincinnati, the Scripps Document commemorating the contributions of Charles M. Schultz to the comic page industry, collection of the Charles M. Schultz Estate.
