Christmas Cantata“Have You Heard?”

This is the title of our Christmas cantata this year, and I know you will not want to miss this presentation! It features traditional Christmas music in the Celtic style, which has a unique and joyous sound. You will hear familiar Christmas carols, but also some familiar Christmas texts set to beloved Irish and Welsh folk songs. These, combined with original music and scripture-based narration, complete a surprisingly refreshing retelling of the Christmas story. You will hear I Saw Three Ships, Come Thou Long Expected Jesus, Away in a Manger, Gentle Mary Laid Her Child, Angels We have Heard on High, O Come All Ye Faithful set to traditional Scottish Melody, Loch Lomond, and O Holy Night set to the timeless tune, Londonderry Air. You will indeed be blessed and filled with the joy of this wonderful season!
It will be presented on Sunday, December 14, at 5:30 pm, followed by a reception in the fellowship hall. We have some new faces joining us for this presentation. I would encourage you to put it on your calendar and not miss it.
