Join us in High Park for this family- and children-friendly Christmas Bird Count, the longest-running community science project in North America. This popular winter holiday event offers little birders and their caregivers an easy and fun opportunity to contribute to stewardship by documenting winter bird populations in High Park!
We’ll start with a story time then head out on the trails on a 45-minute walk to spot as many birds as possible! After the walk, we’ll return to the Nature Centre for a light snack and make bird-themed ornaments.
NOTE: Pre-registration is required for all our events, hikes and workshops. We do this to ensure we don’t exceed our capacity for indoor events or the maximum limits for group sizes on High Park’s ecologically sensitive trails. Please register on our website before coming to High Park.
We cannot guarantee availability of walk-in spots. If an event is at capacity, please put yourself on our waitlist. We will notify waitlisted participants if we open up new spots or sessions for our events. Please contact us if you have any questions.
