Join the Medicine Hat Interpretive Program for a guided, family-friendly nature walk looking for local birds! The tradition of the annual Christmas Bird Count dates back to 1900 and is the longest standing citizen science project in North America. Now, even budding bird enthusiasts can participate in the fun with the Christmas Bird Count for Kids. We will practice using tools like binoculars and simple photo identification guides to learn about the birds of Police Point Park.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own binoculars, if possible, and dress for the weather. All other supplies will be provided. To register for this free program, call the Nature Centre (403.529.6225). Meet out front of the Nature Centre at 10:00 am, Sunday, December 14th , 2025.
