Speaker's Bio:

With over 12 years of experience in risk management, internal audit, and consulting across Africa and the Middle East, Samuel has developed a robust skill set in leadership, business strategy, and financial management. As a former Manager at Deloitte (Ghana and Nigeria) and BDO (UAE), he gained extensive experience in managing operational risk for multinational firms. At Deloitte he spearheaded risk advisory engagements for various clients, ensuring strong risk frameworks that improved operational resilience. He has also worked at Access Bank Ghana, where he managed credit risk. In his previous role at Kenpong Group, Samuel was responsible for overseeing strategic risk management across multiple subsidiaries, ensuring business continuity and sustainable financial growth.

In his current role as Lead Consultant at Thought Leadership Advisory, he has managed large-scale projects for government agencies and private firms, such as internal audits, systems implementations, project management, corporate governance reviews and capital raising engagements.

In his current role as General Manager of MM Agro Ghana Limited, Samuel Owusu specializes in driving operational excellence, strategic planning, and risk management across various business units. His role involves leading business strategy development, ensuring its effective implementation, and maintaining a high level of operational performance to meet organizational goals. Samuel is responsible for overseeing financial sustainability, risk mitigation, and overall organizational growth, making key decisions that align with long-term objectives. Additionally, he leads efforts in enterprise risk management, compliance, and internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets and reputation.
