BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!Here's another chance to explore the town’s rich history through a unique lens. Created by a dedicated team of Red House Museum volunteers, this exhibition brings together over a year of research into the museum’s photographic archives.
At its heart is the remarkable aerial photography of Allen White — a local historian, RAF photographer, and former Christchurch Times journalist — whose striking images capture the changing face of the town from above. Inspired by his legacy, the volunteers have curated a visual map of Christchurch that connects people, places, and memories across generations.
This is more than a simple timeline, it’s a tapestry of stories, shaped by personal connections and a deep curiosity about the past. Come and discover a new perspective on Christchurch, and share your own memories to help shape future exhibitions.
Entry to the museum is FREE, donations are always welcome.
