Join us at Purple Fern Studio for an art exhibit featuring the collaborative and individual works of Chris Stephens and Whitney Waller!
Both artists have been lifelong creators deeply connected to the Shenandoah Valley, drawing significant inspiration from the local music and arts scene. Their current work, often created during live music performances, captures the spirit and energy of the local musicians and venues that support and enrich the creative community in Front Royal.
This exhibit will showcase a range of their works, including collaborative paintings, "dueling" portrait paintings, and drawings on paper and panel. These pieces are reflective of their observation-based practices and are inspired by the lively pace and vibrant atmosphere of local live music events.
About the Artists: Chris Stephens, a graduate of UNC-Greensboro and James Madison University, has been an exhibiting artist for over 40 years and served as artist-in-residence in Warren County from 1988 to 2004. Whitney Waller, an alumna of the Corcoran School of Art, has rich experience working on major installations in the DC area and honed her artistic skills at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts.
