Join us for an artist talk by Chris Pappan, whose work is featured in the exhibition “Native Fashion” and our collection galleries. Pappan's work reflects distorted perceptions of Native peoples and is inspired by alternative magazines, underground comics, punk rock, and hot rod culture. 🎨This talk is part of the Indigenous Arts Initiative, a partnership of the Kansas Arts Commission, KU Film and Media Studies, the Spencer Museum, and the Lied Center.
Admission to this event and to the Spencer is free for everyone, always. Free parking is available in designated spaces on the first level of the Mississippi Street garage across from the Museum. Check in at our Welcome Desk with your license plate number for parking validation. 🚗
