On Friday 31st July Dundee’s in for a real treat as not one but TWO of Scotland’s absolute best comedians CHRIS FORBES and MARK NELSON bring previews of their Edinburgh Fringe shows to Number 57 for a double-headliner event.
First up we have critically-acclaimed comedian Chris Forbes with his latest show ‘Father Christmas’. Yes that’s right, Chris is bringing Christmas to the Fringe this summer. Expect trees, tinsel and tragedy. A hilarious, heartfelt stand-up show about festive joy, family and the Christmas Day that changed everything. Blending big laughs with beautiful storytelling, the deeply personal Father Christmas is for anyone who loves, or hates, Christmas.
Chris Forbes is a multi-award winning comedian and star of BBC Scotland’s hit show Scot Squad. He’s a regular guest on BBC Radio Scotland shows ‘Off the Ball’ and ‘Breaking the News’, as well as writing and starring in cult sketch show ‘How Do I Get Up There?’ and ‘The Farm’ alongside Jim Smith.

**PLEASE READ CAREFULLY**
• Tickets can be refunded or exchanged no less than 24 hours before the show.
• Line-ups can be subject to change at short notice.
• The show is in two 1-hour parts separated by a 20 minute interval. Doors open at 7pm, one hour before the start time of 8pm. Please arrive before the show starts but not before 7pm. Attendees who arrive late will not be granted admission or a refund.
• Don’t talk or heckle during the performances. This rule is NOT optional. It is very distracting for both the performer and other audience members. Some performers (usually the host) might talk to the audience, but otherwise please let the comedians do the talking. Heckling does not ‘help the show’. Think of it like cinema rules: laughter, cheers, applause are all great, but talking or yelling out is not. And another cinema rule…
• Please put your phone on silent. Photos are fine but please no video or flash photography.
• This is NOT a standing event. All audience members must be seated while the performance is underway, unless ordering at the bar or using the toilets. When ordering at the bar, please whisper.
• Entrance and exit is via the side door only; please wait outside at the door for ticket check and to be seated by the doorman.
• Tables are limited and you may have to share one. If you choose to sit on a row, please move all the way down to the end and don’t leave empty seats between groups. You may not be able to sit together if the remaining chairs available are spread out. If you are particular about seating we recommend arriving as early as possible.
• Seats in the front half of the room must be filled before seating in the back half is allocated.
• Seating in the alcove at the back is reserved for the comedians and their guests only.
• These shows are for people aged 18 and over. You may be asked to show ID if you do not look of age.
• Comedy Dundee does not necessarily agree or disagree with the opinions and viewpoints expressed by the comedians. Acts are booked based on their ability to make people laugh, beyond that we respect freedom of expression. If you disagree or are offended by what you hear, you are free to express this by not laughing, by leaving, or by respectfully raising your objections with the act after the show or via social media. You may not interrupt an on-going performance.
• Audience members who don’t respect these rules will be asked to leave.
