Chosen Family MCR Mother's Day Social

Chosen Family MCR was founded to create a community amongst estranged people, careleavers, and people with struggling family relations. We decided to throw a free walk and craft evening on Mother's Day to support anyone who finds this day hard. We will meet at Haunt to start a walk together at 4pm, and will then return to Haunt for a craft evening at 6pm, where we will be creating cards for the other people in our lives that we love. There is no pressure to attend both parts, do whatever makes you comfortable.

Family-oriented holidays can be some of the hardest times for people so we wanted to host a charity event that was accessible, fun, and a safe place to speak about certain issues. The main reason why we wanted to do this is that so people could feel a sense of community, so don’t be scared, bring a friend if it’ll make you more comfortable, and come and connect ?
