Rod Alnord is a Haitian-born drummer with multiple musical influences including Jazz, Gospel/Worship, and Afro-Caribbean Music. After graduating from USF, he developed his own style inspired by the explosive Elvin Jones and modern drummer extraordinaire, Brian Blade. Rod’s quartet plays an exciting and upbeat style of Swing, with a mix of Latin and Contemporary music, ranging from Chick Corea to modern composers like Braxton Cook and Nate Smith! Join them as they welcome other local artists to the stage. Come be a part of this spontaneous and collaborative musical experience. It’s the “CHOPS” Jam Session.
