Come and join us as we commemorate the 175th death anniversary of classical music luminary Frederic Chopin. Known as the Poet of the Piano, the Cultural Arts Events Organizer (CAEO) together with the Manila Pianos Artist Series presents Chopin Fest 2024; slated to enthral audiences from May to July 2024.
Join us for an unforgettable evening as we present one of the most revered masterpieces in piano literature—Chopin's Piano Sonatas. These works, known for its profound musicality and technical complexity, demands a pianist with emotional intensity and formidable technique.
We are thrilled to feature two extraordinary pianists for this special performance. The evening will begin with Inna Montesclaros, one of the country’s most sought-after soloists. An alumna of the Royal College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music in London, Inna has won numerous prestigious competitions, including the 4th Chopin Piano Competition in Asia, and has performed across Europe, Asia, the USA, and South America.
Following Inna's performance, multi-awarded pianist Michael Valenciano will take the stage to perform Chopin's 3rd Piano Sonata. A distinguished student of Prof. Najib Ismail at the UST Conservatory of Music, Michael is a scholar of both the Lisa Zheng Foundation and the Friends for Cultural Concerns of the Philippines. His accolades include victories in competitions such as NAMCYA, PTGP Piano Competition (2019), New York Performer's Prize International Competition, Sugree Charoensook International Music Competition, and the Four Notes International Competition (2021). This year, Michael was honored with the Ani ng Dangal Award by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).
