About this Event
What you can expect...
You will be warmly greeted at our brand-new offices in Spindles Shopping Centre and be given a welcome introduction to Oldham by our Head of Service for Safeguarding and Care Planning .
From here, you will have an opportunity to chat with our other heads of service and team managers across Children’s Social Work to gain more information about working for Oldham Council as a social worker.
With lots of material on hand regarding our learning and development opportunities, our career progression ladder and staff benefits too, you’ll come away with a broad understanding of what Oldham is all about and why it is a good place to work.
You will also have the chance to better understand our systemic approach to social work too, with two short seminars being held on the day by our frontline consultant social workers to give you an insight into how we work to support our residents every day.
- First seminar: 4.30-5pm
- Second seminar: 6-6.30pm
