About this Event

🌿 Cacao & Earth: Taste the Forest

A sensory journey into regenerative cacao from Ecuador

Step into an intimate tasting experience where chocolate connects you back to its origin.

This Earth Day, Mercado Amigo and Sonriza invite you to discover cacao in its most authentic form — grown in harmony with nature, crafted with care, and rooted in centuries of tradition.

Ecuador, considered one of the origins of cacao, is home to some of the world’s most complex and aromatic varieties. This experience brings you closer to that origin.

Far beyond a typical tasting, this is a guided journey through the flavors, stories, and landscapes behind each chocolate.

You will taste 5 carefully selected bean-to-bar chocolates, each one revealing a different expression of cacao — from biodiversity-rich forests to small-scale producers preserving ancestral knowledge.

As you taste, you will learn how cacao is grown, fermented, and transformed — and why truly sustainable chocolate is not only about flavor, but about people, ecosystems, and respect for the land.

✨ Meet your host
