We will be chinking and daubing the villa buildings on Saturday May 2nd, from 10:00 AM through 4:00 PM.
Chinking and daubing was the processes of sealing the gaps between the logs on log cabins and houses using clay and other binding agents. This usually had to be done every 6 months to a year depending on the strength of the formula as well as the climate of the region.
Join us for a messy day of hard work and learn about this essential task for maintaining log cabin buildings.
Guests are encouraged to participate and help the San Felipe de Austin education team with chinking and daubing the buildings.
