Chinese Association of Greater Windsor Announces 2026 Windsor Chinese New Year GalaWindsor, Ontario — The Chinese Association of Greater Windsor (CAGW), a non‑political, non‑profit, and independent organization representing more than 1,000 members across the region, is proud to announce the 2026 Windsor Chinese New Year Gala, taking place on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at The Centre for the Arts, St. Clair College – Riverside Campus.
As one of the largest and most anticipated cultural celebrations in the region, the Windsor Chinese New Year Gala has been a cherished annual tradition since 1999. The event honours Chinese New Year (Chunjie / Spring Festival)—the most important holiday for Chinese communities worldwide—and brings together residents from across Greater Windsor to celebrate culture, heritage, and community spirit.
The gala features two signature components:
• A festive Chinese New Year Banquet, showcasing typical Chinese cuisine and holiday customs
• A dynamic live entertainment performance, highlighting Chinese arts, music, and cultural expression
The event usually welcomes more than 1,000 attendees each year, with over 75% of participants coming from the local Chinese community. It remains one of the most significant cultural gatherings in Windsor‑Essex, fostering cross‑cultural understanding and strengthening community connections.
