Vier samen met ons Chinees Nieuwjaar op 21 februari 2026 en leer de traditionele Chinese cultuur van dichtbij kennen in en rond Chinatown Antwerpen!Van 11u30 tot 16.30u kan je De Coninckplein genieten van een lekker hapje en animatie met podium animatie.
Om 12 uur vertrekken de leeuwen van de Choi Lee Fat liondance school met trommelgeroffel en knetterende rotjes richting De Coninckplein en Chinatown. Daar gaan ze de restaurants en winkels veel geluk toewensen.
Ook zal er in de bibliotheek Permeke verschillende workshops en lezingen zijn. Ook is er een expo met de tradities over Chinees Nieuwjaar. Kom zeker langs!

Celebrate Chinese New Year with us on 21 February 2026 and discover traditional Chinese culture up close in and around Chinatown Antwerp!
From 11:30 AM to 4:30 PM, you can enjoy tasty food and lively entertainment with stage performances at De Coninckplein.
At 12:00 PM, the liondance team from the Choi Lee Fat liondance school will start moving through De Coninkplein and Chinatownwith by drumbeats and crackling firecracker. The lions will visit restaurants and shops to bring them good luck for the new year.
There will also be various workshops and lectures at Permeke Library. Be sure to visit the Library as there is also a nice exhibition about the traditions around Chinese New year!
