About the Instructor
Emily Wu, a Chinese-Canadian illustrator, specializes in creating children's illustrations. She excels in utilizing various materials to craft art pieces with rich layers and textures. Her passion for art is evident in her ability to transform discarded paper into thought-provoking sculptures, showcasing an obsession with the tactile feel of paper, subtle colors, soft shadows, and the light-absorbing qualities of Papier-mâché (paper mache). Her works beautifully depict the intricate relationships between people, animals, and nature. Simultaneously, she demonstrates a high level of skill in coordinating diverse art projects for teenagers and children, and organizing eco-friendly art exhibitions. She holds a deep appreciation for the joyful moments shared with children and teenagers.
