About the Course
This course is a hands-on introduction to Kai Script (Regular Script)楷书, the most essential style in Chinese calligraphy. We will follow the famous Ouyang Xun 欧阳询 (Ou style 欧楷), which is known for being neat, balanced, and perfect for beginners to build a solid foundation.
What We Will Cover
The lessons are broken down into easy, manageable steps:
The Basics: Learn how to hold the brush and master the fundamental strokes (dots, lines, and hooks).
Character Building: Practice writing individual characters and learn how to balance their structure.
Final Project: Put everything you’ve learned together to complete your very own calligraphy artwork.
