The Chilli Sauce Championships is back for its 11th year!Contestants will be submitting their homemade Chilli Sauces to be tasted and judged by you, the public.
You will be given a voting card and will be tasting sauces with influences from around the world, so expect to see flavours of the Carribean, Africa, India, Thailand and more. Typically there are more than 40 sauces entered, so get those tastebuds ready.
If you don't like fierce heat, no need to be scared; there will be a range of heats which even a beginner can handle. There will be four categories of sauces to sample: mild, medium, hot and nuclear. And the “Yoghurt Station” will be back, for all those folk whose sizzling tongues need cooling down.
The event starts at 2pm for drinkies. Tastings will be between 3pm and 5pm, and the winners will be announced at 6pm.
There will be trophies for the winners, and generous gift hampers as prizes courtesy of our sponsors, the UK's largest Chilli Sauce Emporium, SOME LIKE IT HOT
