Exciting News! FibreHub, Pool is hosting its first-ever comedy night on Friday, the 28th of June 2024!The night features 4 pro comedians from the British Comedy Circuit in talented - Suzy Bennett, Ben Treloar and Abhi Shake hosted by the hilarious Kernow Comedy’s very own, Tom Rodgers!
The night also serves Chilli Con Carne (vegan option available), all included in the price! It's going to be an unforgettable night of delicious food, laughter and cocktails!

Suzy Bennett: Former Butlins Redcoat and proud Devonian, Suzy Bennett ‘accidentally’ won the prestigious Funny Women Award on her 6th gig and has kept the laughs, and her Janner accent, going strong ever since, performing around the UK comedy scene, festivals as well as overseas hosting large events as well as tour support for big name acts. Plymouth is where her heart is, and Suzy has become a popular regular guest on BBC Radio Devon. Most recently she was chosen as the voice of the ‘PlymouthTrails’ Tour app and was named one of the ‘50 Coolest people from Plymouth’ by the Evening Herald (It was in no order, so she assumes she came third after Dawn French and Wayne Sleep). In 2021 Suzy and fellow Plymouth Comedians launched ‘Plymouth Comedy Tours’ which has been selling out and receiving rave reviews on Trip Advisor which inspired them to create Christmas Special comedy tours which sold out like hot pasties! Suzy is returning to host the charity ball ‘Dine with Davina’ with Davina McCall for a second time in 2023 after proving to be a big hit with the star and audience.

As a finalist in numerous prestigious competitions and a performer who's left audiences roaring with laughter from coast to coast, Tom has solidified his presence as a comedy force to be reckoned with. His electrifying stage presence infuses fresh insights and side-splitting stories about the quirks of Cornish life and the unique adventures of living with ADHD.

Having won the Cornish Cornish Comedian of the Year, is a rising star of the Southwest stand-up scene. With audiences occasionally enjoying his deadpan musings on life, he’s quickly performing much further afield than his native Cornwall, recently becoming a finalist at Stand-up for Cider, one of the biggest competitions in the Southwest circuit. Join him on a sarcastic journey as he rambles about exciting topics such as supermarkets, urinals, and how to steal material from better comedians!
The night will also feature, Abhi Shake!
Abhi Shake has travelled over 5,500 miles to make his audiences laugh with the anecdotal experiences of his journey from Mumbai, India to Cornwall! Now a local lad, expect the unexpected as this settled emmet takes you through his love for Pasties, Beach clean ups, and his witty take on westernised curries that continue to earn him browny points.
