Be Part of the Story: Become a Foster Parent (Children's Wisconsin)Currently there are more than 6,000 children in foster care in Wisconsin, including 1,800 children in Milwaukee County. Each of these children deserves safety and nurturing in a family setting.
Foster parents provide a temporary home and family for a child until they can be safely reunited with their birth family or placed in a permanent living situation. The purpose of foster care is to allow a child's family time to make changes needed for their child to return home.
Come to this information session to find out more information about a foster care program that's right for you. Current programs include:
- General Foster Care
- Treatment Foster Care
- Respite Care
- General Foster Care/Adoption
Meet members of the Children's Wisconsin staff and ask questions during a panel discussion with current foster parents in the area. FREE PIZZA & ICE CREAM WILL BE PROVIDED. Please RSVP so we can provide enough food.
