About this Event
Come and celebrate National Storytelling Week with the launch of our regular children’s writing club at Leigh library. In this creative writing session, focusing on songs as a form of storytelling, children will be guided through a series of creative prompts and will learn some writing techniques. We will then take part in a reading circle, where children are encouraged to share their ideas with each other in a supportive and fun environment. And for this month’s session, you could even sing! But only if you want to.
This workshop will be fun and interactive, creating a space for children to write and share with each other. Everyone can take part, whether you’re a budding writer or you’ve never written before.
All materials and guidance are provided by library staff. Attendance is free but registration is required. Suitable for age 7 to 12 years. All children aged under 9 years must be accompanied by an adult - accompanying adults do not need to book a ticket.
