Join this hands-on mixed-media workshop where imagination meets craft! In this guided series, participants will design and create their own animal sculptures using accessible paper-based construction techniques, then bring them to life with expressive painting.
Students will learn how to:
- Build strong 3D forms
- Add texture and structural detail
- Shape character and personality
- Use color creatively to enhance expression
This class encourages creativity, storytelling, and sustainable art-making using simple and repurposed materials. Perfect for both beginners and experienced young artists, each session supports experimentation, problem-solving, and playful exploration in a supportive environment.
Students will work with a variety of accessible and upcycled materials, including:
- Newspaper and newsprint
- Toilet paper
- GlueAll
- Masking tape
- Wire sculpting mesh
- Cardboard
- Found objects for creating armatures
- Acrylic paint
- Glue guns and glue sticks
