About this Event
This is more than just cutting and pasting; it’s a chance to learn something new, connect with others, and create something to be proud of!
What to Expect:
- Introductions: Community Houston is about getting to know our neighbors! We'll have brief introductions in the beginning. Then, we'll look at examples of American political collages from the 1900s-2010s.
- Materials Provided: We provide MANY materials but feel free to bring your own found items, photographs, magazines, or other items you may want to incorporate or share with others.
- Technique Challenges: You'll have access to examples of different collaging techniques you can try.
- Community & Connection: We believe in the power of community, so we’ll weave in moments to connect and share, making this experience as enriching socially as it is artistically.
- Grand Finale: End the workshop with a gallery walk, where you can admire everyone’s work (or work in progress!) and, if you like, exchange contact details to keep the connections alive (until our next pop-up!).
Our venue this week is a local leashed dog park with free street parking available.
