You’re not alone!This exclusive mama ‘hood class combines the best of a variety of childbirth education programs with our years of experience helping mamas and their partners both before and after birth. You will graduate with the essential tools needed to prepare for the birth of your child.
This is the perfect class to explore all of your options before creating a plan that works for you and your partner.
We will cover:
- physiology of labor and birth (how to know when it’s time and what comes next)
- medicated & unmedicated birth
- relaxation and pain management techniques
- different birthing options and scenarios including family-centered cesarean birth
- the role of the partner
- the role of a doula/labor support
- birth preferences plans & informed decision-making
- planning lists for birth
- how to care for mama in the postpartum period
- what to expect in early newborn life
This six hour series (two 3-hr classes) will provide you and your partner with support, guidance and community as you prepare your mind, body & home for your newest team member(s) whether you are planning a hospital, birth center, or home birth.
The mama' hood is a community for new moms & families that addresses all of pre and post-natal needs. We welcome families of all types, composition, orientation, birthing philosophies, and feeding philosophies. Our mission is to help families find joy in their parenting journey through expert instruction, community and the things they need.
