Child Protection Coordinator (CPCO) Forum

Lauren Hudson (Social Worker) and Lisa McMahon (Team Manager) from the Investigations Team will facilitate a session to share information and discuss:

· The Scottish Child Interview Model now used for joint interviews of child victims or witnesses. Education are part of the multi-agency decision making at IRD’s where the decision is made for children to be interviewed. Background knowledge of the joint interview process is important for CPCO’s involved in decision making.

· The Bairns Hoose pilot is operational within Angus and offers children and young people who have been victims or witnesses of abuse to trauma-informed recovery support and justice. Further information will be shared on what this will mean for children in Angus and how it can be accessed.

· The updated Equal Protection Guidance will be discussed and there will be an opportunity to address any queries around this.
