About this Event

Child Exploitation - Intro to CSE, Trafficking, Missing & County Lines

This course is for anyone working with children and families across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) and looks at the tools and processes that are used specifically across LLR. It is an introductory awareness raising course.

Learning Outcomes:

- To raise awareness about Child Sexual Exploitation, trafficking, missing and County Lines within a local context

- To understand the signs and indicators of child exploitation

- Explore the vulnerabilities of young people and their families

- Understand the myths and stereotypes around victims and perpetrators

- Explore the links between grooming, being missing and different forms of exploitation

- Have an understanding of the models of Child Sexual Exploitation

- Have an opportunity to practice and use the tools available to assess the risk of exploitation in a safe environment

- Share knowledge of legislation that underpins practice in these areas.
