About this Event
Taking place at Preston North End Football Club, in the Invincibles Lounge
This training day has been funded by the Police & Crime Commissioner for Lancashire ’s Community Safety Partnership Fund with an aim to strengthen community safeguarding by improving knowledge, confidence and clarity regarding:
- Understanding child criminal exploitation & county lines
- Understanding child financial exploitation
- Identifying signs and indicators of child exploitation and abuse
- Identifying vulnerabilities of children and young people
- Recognising the grooming process and exploitation tactics
- Understanding illegal financial activity and money laundering
- Improving early identification, intervention, disruption and reporting
- Building trust and confidence between communities and policing
- Gaining knowledge of SafeCall and support from Missing People
A Toolkit Resource pack and safeguarding zines will be available for each participant
The training is delivered by No Whispers Community Interest Company in partnership with Chief Inspector Helen Bevan, Preston Local Policing & Partnerships, PC Ceri Blakeley NWROCU Regional Fraud Prevent Co-ordinator and Sarah Howley & Lee Cromwell from the Missing People’s Child Criminal Exploitation Support Service.
Lunch and light refreshments will be provided and an opportunity for networking.
