Chief's Community Advisory Board Summer Session

The Frederick Police Department's Special Response Team (also known as SWAT) is a highly trained tactical unit that handles high-risk incidents that occur in the city, as well as offering assistance to neighboring jurisdictions. Often accompanying the SRT are members from the department's Drone and K9 Teams as a "force multiplyer" during critical incidents. This evening will give an overview of these three teams and a better understanding of their utilization. Further, live demonstrations from each team will allow attendees to appreciate the capabilities of each team and what they bring to the agency.
