About this Event
Join the Chi Ashe Movement!
We open with breath (5 min)
The ọjà flute plays. You breathe with intention, not just to warm up, but to awaken your Chi. In Igbo tradition, Chi is your personal divine spark. Every inhale calls it forward. Every exhale releases what isn't yours. Five minutes of this sets the entire session that follows.
Then we move into the body (20 min)
Grounding mobility work set to contemporary Igbo music. This pillar is rooted in Ala, the earth goddess who governs your physical foundation. Think hip mobility, deep stretching, and functional movement. Every movement here is a conversation with the ground beneath you.
Then the drums drop (30 min)
This is Amadioha HIIT, named for the Igbo god of thunder. When this section begins the music shifts to powerful West African drumming, Orisha-influenced, Yoruba-rooted. Amadioha governs this pillar. And as we call his energy forward, we honor Shango, his counterpart in Yoruba tradition. Same thunder. Different shore. For 30 minutes you train within that energy. High intensity. Full power. Nothing held back.
Then we return home (5 min)
The ọjà flute comes back. The storm settles. This is Ndị Ichie Integration, your cool down, your reflection, your moment to honor the ancestors. In this tradition, rest is not the absence of work. It is the completion of it.
Every pillar carries teachings from Igbo and Yoruba spirituality. By the end, your body and your spirit will feel the work.
