Join Off the Mall Tours on a special spring walk of the famous Tidal Basin Cherry Blossoms! The Tidal Basin area has monuments galore, but it has its own secret history too! Do you know how the cherry blossom trees became a feature? Or that the tidal basin used to have a beach from which Washingtonians would refresh themselves during the hot summers? Or what the tidal basin actually does for the city?
You'll discover all of this and more on this two-hour walking tour. The tour will meet at the Dr. Martin Luther King Memorial Statue, and end near the USDA building. The closest metro station is the Smithsonian station on the Orange, Blue and Silver Lines.
