We hope you join us & Cheriss May as we go on a journey of self reflection as she leads us on a journey through 3 different stages of her life; Unseen, Emerging, Ascending and how she came to find her voice through the power of storytelling.
This will be her second solo show she has down with Leica Store DC and we are very excited to share this journey with Cheriss and with you. We hope that you feel inspired to start your own or maybe even find a little reflection of yourself in this series.
Soul Reflections will be up from Nov 21, 2024-February 2025.
Cheriss May is a lauded editorial and portrait photographerm selced by Peerspace as one of "The 12 Best Editorial Photographers in Washington, D.C.". She is a frequent contributor to The New York Times, and People magazine, and has been published on The White House website, ABC News, and other publications. Her work is featured at Le Coin in Gansevoort Meatpacking NYC, and the permanent collections of the African American Museum in Philadelphia, Pa., and the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in Harlem, NY. Cheriss is an adjunct professor at her Alma Mater, Howard University, in Washington, D.C., a Leica Ambassador, a mentor at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), an Adobe Education Leader and Content Authenticity Pioneer.
