The SU Camp Chemistry is a day camp designed to give elementary students ages 8–11 years old the opportunity to perform a variety of chemistry experiments designed to teach basic scientific principles and to connect chemistry and science to the students’ everyday experiences. Other branches of science such as biology, ecology, physics computer science and engineering are also incorporated into experiments and lessons. Attendees will spend much of our time in actual laboratories so students can truly experience what it is like to be a scientist.
