About this Event
Join Stefanie for a hands-on cheesemaking adventure made for our littlest artisans. This class is geared towards children ages 4 to 10 but is welcome to all ages. Children will learn about the cheesemaking process by making a simple ricotta style basket cheese. Kids will help transform milk into curds, hand-shape fresh cheese, and decorate it with herbs and flowers. We'll talk all about cows, milk, and our tiniest microbe helpers! The class will also tour the cheese cave, peer into the creamery, and taste several milkhouse cheeses (with a chance to provide genuine feedback in the ways only kids can do). *Parents must accompany and care for their children during the class.*
