What is a Crochet-A-Long (CAL)? A CAL is where participants are all working on the same pattern at about the same pace. It’s a great opportunity to learn new techniques, make new friends, and share tips and ideas with each other.And what a cute pattern to crochet together! The Cheeky Chicken Doorstop (pattern by CottontailandWhiskers) is a great introduction to crocheting amigurumi.
This is a three session class - October 5, October 19, November 2, 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Signing up for session one will automatically sign you up for all three sessions.
In between sessions we’ll have a What's App group set up for chatting, sharing progress, asking questions, and general banter.

Due to copyright laws each participant must purchase their own pattern before class, copies of the pattern will not be provided. By purchasing through Cottontailsandwhiskers Etsy shop you’ll be helping to support an independent designer, which will keep their great patterns coming. Seriously, they have really cute well written patterns.
Yarn:
8oz/100gr Worsted or Aran Weight for the body (4 on the Yarn Standard’s Scale).
Small amounts of DK Weight (3 on the Yarn Standard's Scale) in White, Yellow, and Red for the features
2ea 6mm Black Safety Eyes
The leg from a nylon stocking (go to Dollar Tree, a pair of nylons is only $1.25)
Dried grains (such as rice or millet), dried beans, or poly pellets to use as weight. The pattern suggests 500gr, I used 250gr in my doorstop
A yarn needle (a bent tip one will work best)
Locking or Spiral Stitch Markers
Scissors
Come prepared to have a good time and make new friends (as well as your chicken)! I’m looking forward to meeting all of you.
