About this Event
Spend 3 hours with a partner making traditional cheddar cheese! During the class, you will start with milk, learn the process of “cheddaring”. You will then have TRADITIONALLY MADE cheese curds that will make their way into the mold that will form your small wheel of cheddar. We will then age it for them for 4 weeks. (You’ll also get to try those fresh cheese curds used to make this cheese…which taste DELICIOUS…especially warm.)
***Prerequesite: Our Fresh Mozzarella Making Class AND Gouda is a prerequesite to this class! This class is only available to our advanced level cheese makers.
This hands on advanced class will be an intensive 3 hours with very little down time.
What to bring: Wear comfortable shoes, an apron, & whatever you'd like to drink (it's a BYOB).
We'll serve: a sampling of our cheeses and local accoutrements for you to snack on during breaks.
