About this Event
When you are unable to be there yourself, we make time to be by your loved one’s side. Whether they are in need of a supportive ear to discuss the grandkids, reminisce about the good ‘ole times, and/or what was on the news last night, we are available to meet-up or stop by. Often bringing a deck of cards or scheduling a special treat,* we try to make your loved one’s life a little more sweet.

SEVERAL SERVICE OPTIONS
(1) Founder of Check-In Chats, makes herself available to call, visit or walk with seniors, run errands for elders, play cards with patients, and share snacks and stories and more with your loved one's when you are unable to be by their side. (See more details below*)

(2) We also offer a weekly get together via Zoom. Sunday Socials allows for elders and those in need of some support to link in on Zoom and check-in with the coach and the community. Conversations are centered around pre-arranged and requested topics such as, health and doctors, family and friends, house repairs, books and movies, special moments, changing times, current events, travel and leisure, compliments and complaints. One time fee for 60-minute online meetings for 47 weeks out of the year. Call (646) 953-5334 to learn more.

If you are in need of in-person check-in services either because you are away or at work, we offer additional services such as, making sure we shut off or “leave on the light” and more:
Services Offered:
- Cook a small meal
- Make sure the Medic*tion box is re-filled
- Wash a light load of laundry (from the basket)
- Take out the trash
- Bring in the mail, or place paid bills in the box
- Pick up the groceries and/or dry cleaning
- Check the locks on the windows and doors
- Chats about the moments captured in the photo albums, the daily news and/or latest books

ADDITIONAL & ALTERNATIVE CHECK-INS / APPOINTMENT BASED SESSIONS
Originally invented to support the elders in our community, we are also available for those in need of some company. We extend a hand and offer support to individuals who are (a) isolated or immobile, in need of bed rest or not, (b) recently lost their spouse or best friend, (c) feel estranged in a new city, or (d) without an outlet when their job came to a sudden end.
Basic services include 90-minutes of conversation over coffee or tea (online or onsite). Meetings can include bringing a copy of your loved one’s favorite paper or magazine. We engage with elders by watching sports, soaps or the news, taking a stroll in the neighborhood to stretch one’s legs, or light conversation over a special snack.
