Morris County Historical Society is pleased to partner with local historians and history organizations to present a Morris County Walking Tour Series that celebrates the area’s rich and diverse past . From April through October, join us for nearly 40 guided walking tours that explore almost two dozen communities throughout Morris County, with topics ranging from unique historic districts, downtowns, and neighborhoods to local industries that shaped the landscape, and the individuals who left a lasting impact.
Join members of the Chatham Historical Society for an engaging walking tour along Chatham Borough’s Historic Main Street. The tour begins at Shepard Kollock Park, which is located on the bank of the Passaic River. From the park, participants will proceed to Main Street, covering approximately a one-mile stretch. The tour concludes in the downtown business district, offering a comprehensive exploration of Chatham’s history and an opportunity to browse the local shops or enjoy food and drink from the dining establishments that abound. The tour will take place at 12:00pm and 2:00pm.
