FREE SHOW!Chatham Funk Society is a Savannah-based collective of veteran local musicians who have joined forces to celebrate deep-pocket funk, groove, and improvisation. Inspired by the raw rhythm sections and energy of classic bands like The Meters, as well as modern torch-bearers like Vulfpeck, the band blends tight arrangements of the classics with their own funky spin on music across genres. Featuring special guests sitting in from across Savannah’s music scene, each show has a unique flavor but the mission is always the same: lock into the groove and get people moving.
Ponzu is a group of old and new friends who recently formed their jam band to bring good tunes to good people. Rooted in the spirit of improvisation and the joy of playing live, they take the classics for a ride so each performance takes on a life of its own. Their sets feature a mix of classic covers from the Grateful Dead, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, and moe., alongside a growing collection of fresh original tunes that draw from rock, funk, and psychedelic influences. Come see for yourself why they have people saying “Pass the Ponzu.”
