About this Event

Join in New York City on Thursday, November 6th at 6PM as we welcome New York Times bestselling artist, illustrator and author, , to celebrate his new book, . Charlie Mackesy’s four unlikely friends are wandering through the wilds again but when the dark clouds come, can the boy remember what he needs to get through the storm?

BONUS: Each ticket includes the B&N Exclusive Edition of which features a violet, real-cloth quarter bind; an updated cover illustration; a new dedication page; and a satin ribbon, printed with Charlie's handwritten script.

TICKETING INFORMATION

Book Admission - $29.45 (Admission + one pre-signed copy of + ): **LIMITED QUANTITY AVAILABLE**: A ticket PER PERSON includes:

Charlie will NOT pose for photos. Photos are welcome from your seat during the discussion and your place in the signing line.

Charlie will personalize one pre-signed copy of per person.

Any gifts for the author will be collected prior to the signing line.

Please arrive by 6PM in order to secure your seat in the event space. Late arrivals may only have access to standing room and may not have the opportunity to meet the author.



GUIDELINES

No memorabilia will be signed at this event.

No large bags will be permitted into the event.

Ticket holders will be admitted into the event beginning at 5:30PM the day of the event. Please have a copy of your ticket available (either printed out or on your phone) for check in.

Due to health and safety and space limitations, those without a ticket will not be permitted into the event space.

Please note that Eventbrite is the only authorized dealer for this event. Each person must have a ticket to enter.

REFUNDS

Attendees can receive refunds up to 24 hours before your event start time.

If you are unable to attend the event, Barnes & Noble - Union Square in New York City will hold your book for seven days after the event. Please contact the store to arrange your pickup.

Should this event be canceled, all customers will be refunded their ticket price to the original method of payment per Eventbrite's refund policy.

ABOUT :

British artist, illustrator and author Charlie Mackesy began his career as a cartoonist, before becoming a book illustrator for Oxford University Press. His award-winning work has been featured in books, galleries, school classrooms, hospital wards, prisons and public spaces around the world.The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse was published in October 2019 and has now reached over 10 million readers around the world. It holds the record for the most consecutive weeks in the Sunday Times Non-Fiction Chart across all formats, as well as being the longest running Non-Fiction number one of all time. A number one New York Times bestseller, it is has also remained on the NYT list since publication.Charlie's beloved book is the first ever book to be awarded both the Waterstones Book of the Year and Barnes and Noble Book of the Year, and has been translated into over 50 languages. In 2023, the short animated film adaption won the BAFTA Award for Best British Film, the Academy Award for Best Animated Short film and five Annie Awards including Best Special Production.Charlie worked with Richard Curtis on the set of ‘Love Actually’ to create a set of drawings for Comic Relief, and with Nelson Mandela on a lithograph project, The Unity Series.
