The Charlestown to Polkerris 5km swim returns in 2026 on the 12th July and will be the second swim in the Cornish long distance swim series.The swim is a point to point swim starting at the harbour of Charlestown and finishing on the beach in the harbour of Polkerris.
The route will take you across St Austell Bay from West to East passing Carlyon Bay beach, Spit and Par before finishing at Polkerris.
Hopefully you'll be rewarded with a clear flat calm turquoise sea and lots of ocean wildlife en route. As always a massive swim-five from the Mad Hatter crew will await every competitor at the finish from 1st to last. What's not to like?
Each competitor will receive a swim hat and a special commemorative medal. Male and Female prizes for overall 1st, 2nd, 3rd and age category winners.
Registration will take place at the Polkerris beach shop and you'll be bused to Charlestown unless you have your own transport with family/friends. At Charlestown you'll be counted onto the beach and set off from in the water.
