FREE EVENT –NO TICKET NEEDED Finish your leftovers, gather the gang, and head to Palm Springs for a monumental mid-century holiday event!
For the first time the radical roofline of the Palm Springs Visitors Center will be all-aglow with classic, multi-colored holidays lights.
The illumination is courtesy of Tru-Tone bulbs, modern innovators of retro holiday lighting.
The epic idea for this electrifying event was sparked by Ambassador of Americana, Charles Phoenix, who will gleefully host the historic holiday lighting countdown and “plug-in” ceremony.
The Palm Springs Visitors Center, opened in 1965 as the Ariel Tramway Gas Station, is a mid-century modern masterpiece listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The soaring space-age structure was designed by legendary Palm Springs Modernist architect, Albert Frey.
Don’t miss this FREE, fun, festive, feel good holiday event.
