Charles Bryant is a singer-songwriter from Pasadena, Texas. He has released 4 albums to date, including the critically acclaimed “Kiss The Sun” that was chosen one of 2017’s albums of the year in Texas Music Magazine, one of the top 50 noteworthy Texas releases in their 20-year history anniversary addition in 2020. And music journalist call it a “Minor Masterpiece” in his review of the album. This was followed by the also critically acclaimed “Unrequited” album released in 2022. In another article in Texas Music Magazine, music journalist Trey Gutierrez described Bryant as “Possible the most prolific song writers you never heard of.” Wild Rabbit Salad hails from the heart of Texas, where the air hums with the ghosts of blues and the promise of tomorrow, Bucky and Marietta Roebuck make music that feels both timeless and alive. Partners in life and song, the Houston-based duo share a sound that’s as easygoing as a front porch conversation and as stirring as a gospel sunrise. Wild Rabbit Salad has released 4 albums. Their 2020 critically acclaimed release “Trouble in Town,” included the top 10 national Indie Country Radio charts single “4 Days Sober.” Critic Steve Wind of the Associated Press reviewed the album and said, “Their kind of music that doesn’t try too hard, because it doesn’t have to. It’s honest, human, and beautifully unpredictable and called it ‘a set unlikely to duplicate anything already on any musical menu.’”
Critic Bill Bentley of Americana Highways wrote, “Bucky and Marietta fit together like grits and gravy, zeroing in on backwoods wailing crossed with urban beauty. As the world spins in unpredictable ways, music like this can be an anchor to the challenges that confront those with the courage to take them on. Start a fire.” And Mid West Record Entertainment’s critic Chris Spector found in their work “a magic that makes even the somber sound celebratory… bridging the gap between Hank and Townes — it could only have gestated in Texas. Killer Stuff.”
From southern rock to classical finesse, from backwoods soul to city light shimmer, Bucky and Marietta find the sweet spot where everything connects — where truth and tenderness meet in song.
Catch a show, you won’t be disappointed. Look for a new album in 2026.
