Join us on Sunday 23th February at 6.30pm at Kantha Bopha Auditorium for a charity concert offering a unique fusion of jazz and Khmer music 🎶Founded in 1986, Mezcal Jazz Unit blends contemporary jazz with world music influences, collaborating with musicians across the globe. With over 650 concerts in 30 countries, the band brings a dynamic and improvisational approach to jazz.
The Mango Dream project reunites Mezcal Jazz Unit with two Khmer traditional musicians, Phan Chamroeun (tro che, kloy) and Vanna Sour (roneat ek), continuing a collaboration that began in 2016. This unique fusion combines Western jazz instruments (saxophone, guitar, bass, drums) with traditional Khmer sounds, creating a rich musical dialogue.
