Amber LeMay
For over thirty years, Amber LeMay, along with the House of LeMay, have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars and awareness for area non-profits, organizations, and charities. You may have seen her directing runners at the Vermont City Marathon, being a guest celebrity waiter, judging various food and talent events, or performing on stage singing and telling jokes. Between her quick wit, funny banter, and “interesting” appearance, Amber is an entertainer whose appeal is appreciated by a wide-ranging audience.

RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE OF BURLINGTON is a home away from home for families of seriously ill or injured kids who are being treated at the University of Vermont Children’s Hospital. Located just a mile from the hospital, the Ronald McDonald House is where families who live outside Chittenden County can recharge and support one another for however long it takes. Most guests are from other parts of Vermont or Upstate New York, but some travel from as far away as Hawaii and Peru. Having their families nearby can do therapeutic wonders for seriously ill or injured children. The continuum of care is often the first step toward full recovery or remission: children heal faster when their parents and siblings are with them. And we take care of everything else in a house filled with hope. 8 private bedrooms and 4 suites with private bathrooms. Home-cooked meals, 5 common area bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, and laundry room. Playroom and an activity room with video games
About 100 families stay at the Ronald McDonald House in Burlington each year. Families come from all over the state, and some come from even further away, like Alaska, Pennsylvania, and Peru. Lengths of stay can range from a few nights to several months, depending on a child’s medical needs.
